How to calibrate your maps
- Calibrate maps
To be able to use tour uploaded maps properly, the maps need to be calibrated.
Press
select a map and press "Edit Map".
Press "Point 1" and pinpoint a location on the map which is easy to find (be precise) using the
button.
The arrows in the bottom of the screen allow you to position the point more accurately. See screenshot below.

When the point is set press
to return to the previous screen.
Now you can enter the exact position of the point you just set. The latitude and longitude are usually shown on nautical maps. Otherwise use a website like: http://itouchmap.com/latlong.html to identify the exact position of the point you just set. See screenshot below.

The Degrees, Minutes and Seconds shown in the screenshot should be entered in BaseNav.
When 'Point 1' is all set, you can start with 'Point 2'.
Make sure 'Point 2' is on the other side of the map from 'Point 1'.
Now repeat the steps you used for setting 'Point 1'.
