How to add maps
- Maps can be added in three ways:
1. BaseNav website (recommended)
2. Your own website
3. Local images
- 1. BaseNav website
In order to upload maps to the BaseNav website you need to create an account. This account will also be used for track and trace purposes in Google Maps.
Go to: http://www.basenav.com/create-account.html to create an account.
When the account is created, you are able to upload images/maps.
Go to: http://www.basenav.com/upload-maps.html to upload your images/maps.
Note: maps should not be larger than 500kb.
When you are finished uploading the maps, open BaseNav on your iPhone
Then press
and press + to add a new map.
Select "BaseNav Website" and choose one of the maps you have uploaded.
Note: loading maps into your iPhone may take a while, depending on your connection and filesize.
- 2. Your own website
Press
then press + to add a new map.
Select "Your own website" and enter the URL of the image and press 'download'.
Note: downloading maps into your iPhone may take a while, depending on your connection and file size.
- 3. Local images
Press
and press + to add a new map.
Select "Local images" and browse the images on your iPhone.
It is also possible to add images to your iPhone using iTunes.
Note: iTunes resizes images larger than the iPhone screen.
- Once the maps are loaded into the iPhone, you need to calibrate them.
Go to 'Calibrate Maps' in the manual.
